University of IN YOUR FACE! P.S. That’s Legit!

So I finished up a 3 day winter retreat at non other than Black Lake this week. Imagine that? But upon arriving, I found out that people actually read this blog to keep in touch with me. I was told by a number of people that I needed to update. So here it is all you waiting fans haha.

With this being college bowl season, I thought I’d go with a university feel to this update (pretty much, how my resent time to Black Lake went. The University of IN YOUR FACE has many great features that appeal to many types of people. we have…

Athletics: With a camp-wide dodgeball tournament the highlight of monday, I was part of a team known as Staff Infection (my idea). Because staff infections can kill you if you don’t get it fixed, and we were too LEGIT to be fixed. So we were gonna kill everyone. (athletically speaking) Turns out we pretty much did. I ended up hitting a camper in the face and popping out his glasses lens.. which I felt super bad for. (Chance, or Sage, if you read this I still feel super bad for that) But in the finals, I pretty much laid down the smackdown. So our athletics are IN YOUR FACE! (literally)

Schooling: With trained staff and talented speakers we are prepared to bring you to the brink of your norm. With a theme of Elemental, Binky took things back to jr. high. well, for the campers maybe to a science class they have yet to take. But he broke down the process of Matter being made of Atoms and Atoms to Protons and Protons to Quarks. And even smaller is a “thing?” that has a name that I forgot, but it is shaped like a cross. It is Super Legit to see that at the base of our life, the life He created, God stamped a sign of his love for us. IN YOUR FACE! HOW LEGIT IS THAT?!

And I have officially decided what my 2009 New Years Resolution is! And everyone is invited join! But I am going to try my hardest to make the word Legit the official word of 2009! Its already spread all over Black Lake, and if they follow through, to Sequim and Anderson Island. However, Legit is not to be confused with the phrase popularized by MC Hammer: “Too Legit To Quit”. Not being MC Hammer and saying this is totally UNLegit. So use Legit whenever something is awesome, cool, you really like it, or it just feels right to say it, SAY LEGIT ALL YOU CAN IN 2009!

 

So what you can take from this blog about the University of IN YOUR FACE is that, if you haven’t yet realized, I LOVE BLACK LAKE, and That’s Legit, and DO YOU PART TO MAKE LEGIT THE WORD OF 2009!
