Star Studded Work Place
Sorry for the big gaps between posts. But anyways, on to the good part!
So I was working sunday afternoon at the mall, at my store the Seattle Team Shop. A ways into my shift a man and his college aged son came in. Over hearing the older gentleman speak, I couldn’t help but think I had heard it before. Some minutes later, some older ladies joined to and they said hi to “Tom.”
That’s when I had a thought about who this guy might be. Tom Huttler is the PA guy for Safeco Field. He says like “now batting for the Mariners, Right Fielder number 51 Ichirooooooooo Suzukiiiiiiii!” And when they paid for the Seattle Sounders FC coat I saw his name on his credit card. Sure enough it was Mr. Huttler himself. I didn’t want to be like a little school girl and be like “oh my gosh! your Tom Huttler! You say, ‘now batting for the Mariners’ ” So i let them go. Afterwords I told myself I would say something next time a famous person (locally or nationally) came in.
Well I got my chance a few hours later when none other than Darryl Tapp of the Seattle Seahawks came in to buy stuff for his little kid. The only thing is that I didn’t realize it was him till after he signed his receipt and was walking out.
MAN! It was totally Legit that they came it, but I missed two opportunities to talk to someone who is involved with professional sports… How unLegit is that? I can guarantee you that next time someone famous comes in I will have an autograph or picture or something!
Well I’m off to work again! Hopefully someone cool comes in again! *crosses fingers*
