Pine Valley
For those of you who aren’t a friend on Facebook with me or don’t get to see me in person, my friend Dylan and I had this huge countdown to us returning to Pine Valley, CA. A few years ago we came here on a mission trip and for our spring break we decided to come back and hangout with everyone here. We got in Saturday night and for these first few days have been staying with an extremely nice lady from the church named Dusty. Both Dylan and I are incredibly thankful for her super kind heart. Here is the low-down on what has gone-down so far:
Saturday: We landed, and our welcome party made a mean joke that they were in LA not San Diego… We went to In N’ Out. We took pictures at the “Welcome to Pine Valley” sign. We learned that there is apparently a platypus that lives in the creek here… (we’re still skeptics).
Sunday: Went to church. Got to see a friend who we thought wasn’t going to be in town. He sang a super sweet song. Dylan and I got to talk to the youth group for a few minutes. Played Rock Band for like 3 hours at the Murrell home. (Pastor’s house). Watched movies at Dusty’s with Lianna, Angie and Caroline.
Monday: We hung out at the camp. took pictures outside of the room we stayed in 2 years ago. Played around at the camp for a while. We had a picnic in the park with Lianna and Caroline after going to the handy mart/deli/pizzeria. Met more people back at camp and played around some more. I made a full court (technically only half court) shot on film! Everyone got sunburned. We drove up to Mt. Laguna and took pretty sweet pictures. Then came back to Dusty’s and she made Spaghetti and we watched Heroes.
So far today: Woke up at O’Dark thirty. Came to school with everyone who goes to Cuyamaca College. Sat around playing on our computers cause we have Wi-Fi here. Then we got left alone cause everyone had class. So now Dylan and I are upstairs in the cafe and I just had a sandwich and we are waiting for our friends to get done with class. Later today we will be switching to staying with the Murrell family for the rest of the week.
Tomorrow the plan is to go to the mall and the Super Wal-Mart! I will be buying my San Diego Padres hat at the Lids store in the mall tomorrow!
We’ve been taking tons of pictures and a good amount of videos so be prepared to probably see them soon!
Peace out and stay sweet!
